A small coffee shop in Evanston, with Radiohead quietly playing in the background through the speakers, Michelle and I sipped coffee and talked about our differences.
We never would have guessed that nine years later we'd have a home together, married and looking forward to the future.
As Michelle now says, "If it wasn't for that anniversary, we would not have our new anniversaries."
Happy first-date anniversary Michelle. I love you. Looking forward to many more.
